Narayana Hrudayalaya acquires 52,272 square feet of land in Bengaluru for ₹169 crore

Narayana Hrudayalaya, also known as Narayana Health, a leading healthcare provider based in Bengaluru, has acquired a land parcel in the city for ₹169 crore. This information comes from documents accessed by Propstack, a real estate data firm.



The seller of the land is Venture Projects Bangalore Private Limited, a private company. The sale was finalized on March 1, 2024, as per the documents.

Founded in 2000 by Dr. Devi Shetty, a renowned heart surgeon, and entrepreneur, Narayana Health operates a network of hospitals and heart centers across India.

Details of the Land Parcel

The acquired land parcel measures 52,272 square feet and is located in Agara Grama (Agara Village), Begur Hobli, Bengaluru South Taluk, of HS. Layout, Bommanahalli Division.

This acquisition follows a trend of property purchases by prominent Bengalureans, including Dr. Anesh Shetty and Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty of Narayana Health, in the upscale Koramangala 3rd Block neighborhood post-pandemic.

Land Market Activity in India

According to data from Anarock, real estate developers and entities carried out around 101 land deals in the fiscal year 2023-24. These deals encompassed a total area of nearly 2,989 acres across the country.

Among the top 7 cities in India, the National Capital Region (NCR) witnessed the highest number of deals (29), covering over 313 acres. Following NCR was the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) with 19 deals spanning approximately 157 acres. Notably, Bengaluru secured the top spot in total land area acquired, with transactions for over 490 acres across 14 deals.
